Our brewing team are hard at work prepping for their next appearance - the Great Kiwi Beer Fest! We'll be representing in our hometown at Hagley Park in Christchurch on January 25th, alongside more than 35 craft brewers and some awesome bands like Dragon and the Mutton Birds. Here's the scoop:
WHERE TO FIND US
The Kaiser Brothers Brewery stand has a sweet spot this year at stand number 37. Call by on your way to or from the main stage!
WHAT'S ON TAP
We'll be pouring some of your favourites! Come and grab a taste for just $2 or enjoy a glass for $5.
American Pale Ale - Characterised by floral, fruity, citrus-like, piney notes, producing medium to medium-high hop bitterness, flavour and aroma. Expect medium body and low to medium maltiness with low caramel malt character.
American IPA - Refreshing heady aromas of orange, mango and pineapple captured on a subtle toffee malt profile, followed by juicy spruce and citrus hop tones.
Pilsener - A light to medium bodied German-style Pilsener with medium head and gentle sparkle. Citrus aromas of grapefruit, tangerine and lemon rind follow through onto the palate with a nice punchy, hoppy bitterness and good malt, for a long crisp, dry finish.
Hoppy Weinstein Savvy Ale - Our unique collaboration between beer and wine! This pale ale is matured with Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc and Nelson Sauvin hops to give a hoppy aroma and the fresh fruity characteristics of wine, all rounded out with an oak-influenced finish.
We'll also be serving Heirloom Cider & Wine, shandies, and non-alcoholic lemonade when you're ready for a change of pace.
AND A LITTLE HEADS UP...
Over and above pouring some excellent beer, we'll be giving away the chance for you to make your own! You could win a brewing experience creating a unique flavour and style of beer with our Brewing Captain Dicky Fife at our new spiritual home, the Kaiser Brew Garden, upstairs in Riverside Market. Make sure you visit us on the day to get in the draw!
